Since the earliest of times, handmade pots were used to cook, store water and grains. Coming from the world’s first civilizations, the Indus Valley, we see evidences of them everywhere.
India still uses pots to store water in summers as it cools the water temperature and also adds an earthy flavor to it, making the water delicious and so very thirst quenching drink. People have earthen pots and in deep rural parts you still get to see people cooking in earthen pots and pans. Not to forget, the earthen cups that are still uses very commonly to drink chai !!
