Irakoi is a brand that sells Indian magic, mystic, and art. It is a brand that aims to help and support the rural poor people of India or the real villager who are mostly farmers, in their endeavor to uplift and generate art that has been flowing in the veins of India since ancient times. These arts are carried from one generation to another and are as old as 2500 – 5000 years old. Some of the arts are since the beginning of our civilization. The beauty of these arts is that they were created by our ancestors thousands of years ago. Nobody knows the names of their creator, but it is from a particular part of India – a tradition. Created without any personal names, these art forms drew inspiration from nature, and were created from nature. Looking at their depth and creativity leaves you with nothing, but amazement and admiration. One would imagine that artists were only born to higher affluent classes, or economically well to do homes or even highly educated but no, these artists, were none of these. They were unnamed and not looking for money or fame. Their life was as simple as that of a farmer, without any sophisticated tools or formal training, and still gave us something like the sea giving us pearls. Unexpected and unasked to do, but here we stand in a plethora of art forms, from each corner of India, each standing independently, and individually next to each other. Like a garden of flowers, each of a kind, each pretty and breathtakingly beautiful and so magnificent that makes us but to fall in love with the simplicity of the minds and hearts that created them. Though the artists were poor, they were truly rich in their hearts and soul and gave us this immense wealth of such beautiful art that it is still there and refuses to leave us no matter how advanced technology takes us. These arts are still created painstakingly and laboriously, in the same manner, and pattern as was once when they were born. Irakoi aims to spread these arts that were created and are still being produced by hand and is solely dedicated to encourage and promote this globally. Irakoi believes art is a living legend. A tradition. A culture. Beautiful with its resilience, silent yet speaking to us in million languages, the wonders that the heart sees when the eye relaxes on them.
