Care Instructions And Information

We at Irakoi are striving to help our artisans to live a better life and give back to their families as well.  For us, the smile of health and happiness is what we aim for through our endeavor.

To take proper care, we request you to go through this.

FOR STOLES & SCARVES

  1. The image on HP/display may be slightly different from the actual color depending on browser, environment.
  2. All our products are shot in the sunlight, so there may be a little variance in the color depending on the position of the sun.  We have tried our best to keep it in line with the real product color.
  3. Please only dry clean the stoles.
  4. For handmade stoles, there could be a slight difference in the size, colors as each piece is made individually.  We hope you understand.

FOR SPIRITUAL CATEGORY PRODUCT – INCENSE

  1. Please make sure to burn all incense in well-ventilated rooms.
  2. If it gets too smoky for your house/room, please extinguish the burning incense by dipping it in water.
  3. Please keep the burning incense out of reach of children and pets.
  4. Please put off or extinguish all burning incense if you are leaving the house.  Do not leave a burning stick without your supervision.
  5. Remember it can ignite and cause a fire, if left unsupervised or burnt without care.
  6. Please ensure to keep a ceramic plate or tray below the incense to collect all the ashes.
  7. You can burn the entire stick at one go or burn it as much as you want to and re-light the same stick.  
  8. Please do not sleep with burning incense on.
  9. Keep the burning incense stick away from burnable things like clothes, beddings, books etc.
  10. Please take care while you enjoy the incense.  A little care can prevent an accident.
  11. The greatest care is taken to select the best and purest ingredients to ensure a very high quality of products that are wholly in conformity with IFRA (International Fragrance Association, Geneva, Switzerland).

FOR NATURAL PERFUMES

  1. Please allow a small skin test before you start using them.  You may mix them with your moisturizer and then apply on a small part of your skin to see if there is any reaction.
  2. All our products are made in natural forms and to the best to retain all natural fragrances.
  3. Greatest care is taken to select the best and purest ingredients to ensure a very high  quality of products that are wholly in conformity with IFRA (International Fragrance Association, Geneva, Switzerland).
  4. For essential oils, please never apply directly to the skin.  Applying directly to the skin will cause inflammation and skin allergies.  Always mix with a carrier oil or moisturizer first and apply on a little part.  Also, please mix a small percentage first as the essential oils are extremely pure and hence very strong.
  5. Please use essential oils in diffusers and enjoy.
  6. Also, you may mix a few drops of Essential Oils in your bath water and relax to a spa-like effect on you. 
  7. Please note that we are only advising and promoting the usage of Essential Oils for fragrance purposes.

FOR BODY OILS

  1. Please allow a small skin test before using it.  Mix it with a moisturizer and apply on a small part of your body.
  2. The body oils are nature-based and should not cause any reactions unless you are allergic to certain components of nature.  Please read the instructions carefully.
  3. The Ayurveda body oils can cause the body to heat up temporarily.  Please relax during this time as the oils work on your body during this time.  In case of any skin reaction, please discontinue.
  4. If you are unaware of how to use, please get in touch with us before you use them.
  5. It is advised to check your skin sensitivity before applying these oils.
  6. For oils like Wheatgerm, please always mix with your moisturizer and apply on your skin. Always remember to do a small skin test on a small patch first.

FOR PRODUCTS FROM ART CORNER

  1. The products from the art corner are made by village artisans of India who live in poverty but are hardworking people who want to earn a living out of making the product that they have known through generations.
  2. There may be minor flaws and irregularities. These imperfections are a reflection of their naive character.  Please accept them and support them. With time, we will ensure and direct our artisans to make products with better quality.

FOR HOME DECORATION PRODUCT CATEGORY

  1. These products are handmade and may differ from the actual image displayed.
  2. Each product is handmade and again, will be a little different if you are buying two identical pieces.
  3. Most of the products are made of terracotta.  Please do not wet them or keep them outside in the open.  Weather will act on the product and can damage the look of it.
